Barbara Eden

 Barbara Eden, born Barbara Jean Morehead on the 23rd of August 1931, is an American actress and singer. She is most well-known for her role as Jeannie in the film I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970). Roslyn Pierce, Elvis Presley's sidekick in Flaming Star (1960), Lieutenant JG Cathy Connors (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea between 1961 and) and Stella Johnson, a widowed mother in Harper Valley PTA (1978) are other notable roles. In the wake of the success of the film Eden reprised her role as Stella Johnson in a two-season television series, Harper Valley PTA.Eden's first public performance was in the church choir, where she sang solos. As a teenager she performed in local groups (led by Howard Fredericks and Freddie Martinstudied acting for one year at City College of San Francisco. Barbara Huffman was her Miss San Francisco 1951 election. She also competed for Miss California in 1955.
