Fox & Friends First is a breakfast television show that airs on Fox News. It airs on Mondays at 4 am Eastern/ 1AM Pacific. The two-hour program, is hosted by Carley Shimkus and Todd Piro serves as a pre-show for the morning show of the network, Fox & Friends.The current incarnation of the show premiered on the 5th of March, 2012, with Heather Childers and Ainsley Earhardt as the hosts of the show.The show devotes to new developments of the latest overnight headlines and/or constant reporting of news breaking. Due to the nature and the timing of the program, guests rarely show up, so the show focuses more on updates of news stories that feature correspondents, commentary from the hosts as well as politics.When Fox and Friends First launched in March 2012, the show's executive producer, Lauren Petterson, described the show to Fox News Insider this way: "Think of Fox and Friends First like Fox and Friends on steroids. It will include all of the great things about Fox and Friends - at the speed of warp. It's a cheat sheet to the most significant news ..." that happen every day.
