Daniela Ruah

 Daniela Sofia Korn Ruah, born on the 2nd of December, 1983 is an American actress and director. She is most well-known for her role as NCIS Special Agent Kensi in the role she played on the CBS's CBS police procedural. She won a Portuguese-television dance competition.Ruah moved to the U.K at the age of 18 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in performing arts from London Metropolitan University. Then she went back to Portugal where she performed in various shows and then in 2007 relocated to New York City to study at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute.Ruah claimed that she was raised in a home that was simultaneously Sephardic and Ashkenazi;her father is of Portuguese-Jewish ancestry as is her mother. Jewish roots are located in Russia, Ukraine and Portugal.She has both Portuguese as well as American citizenship.
