Dolly Parton

 Dolly Rebecca Parton, born January 19, 1946 is an American actor, singer and songwriter. Also, she is a philanthropist and businesswoman. Her work in the field of country music is her biggest accomplishment. Parton's popularity as a songwriter led her to make her debut album in 1967, with Hello, I'm Dolly. This was followed by successes throughout the 1960s, both as a solo artist as well as with a series with Porter Wagoner, before she achieved her highest sales in the 1970s and continued into the 1980s. Parton's albums from the 1990s were not as successful as well, but she achieved commercial success again after the turn of the millennium. She has released albums on a variety of independent labels from 2000 onward as well as her own label, Dolly Records. Parton has sold more than 100 million records around the globe. Her music features Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA-certified platinum, gold, and multi-platinum award-winning tracks. She has had 25 tracks make it to no. She reached No. 1 on the country charts of Billboard, which is a record for a female artist (tied with Reba McEntire). Her 44 Top 10 Country Albums are an all-time record for any artist.
