Durk Derrick Banks (born October 19, 1992) who is professionally referred to as Lil Durk, is an American rapper and singer. He is the founding and the lead singer of the collective and record label Only the Family. His Signed to the Streets mixtape series (2013 - 2014) was a huge success and earned Durk an affluent fan base, which led to an agreement with Def Jam Recordings. After Durk's first album of studio work Remember My Name (2015), and Lil Durk 2X (2016) were released, Durk left Def Jam in the year 2018. In July of this year, Durk signed a deal with Alamo Records. In April 2020, Durk made his first appearance as a lead singer on the Billboard Hot 100 with the single "Viral Moment" from his fifth studio album Just Cause Y'all Waited 2 (2020). Songs such as "3 Headed Goat", "Backdoor", and "Polo G and Lil Baby" continued Lil Durk's rise to fame.
