Maya Moore

 Maya April Moore (born June 11 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx, who is currently on an sabbatical. The Lynx named the team's inaugural Performer of the Year in 2017, Sports Illustrated called Moore the greatest player ever in women's basketball.In high school, Moore was the National Gatorade Player of the Year as well as the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year, and a McDonald's All-American. Moore was a forward on the UConn women’s basketball team, winning two national championships in 2009 and 2010. After having led Connecticut to a national title undefeated, she was awarded the John Wooden Award in 2009. In the next season, Moore led Connecticut to its second straight national title and continued the team's overall undefeated streak to 78. During the 2010-11 season, she was the leader of the Huskies in extending their streak to an NCAA record for both genders (all divisions) of 90.
