Maya Moore

 Maya April Moore (born June 11 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx, who is currently on sabbatical. Naming Moore their inaugural Performer of the Year in the year 2017. Sports Illustrated called Moore the greatest winner in the history of women's basketball.In high school, Moore was the National Gatorade Player of the Year and the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year and was a McDonald's All-American. Moore was a forward on the UConn women’s basketball team, winning national championships twice in 2009 and 2010. After taking Connecticut to a national championship undefeated, she was awarded the John Wooden prize in 2009. Moore led Connecticut to its second straight national title. It also maintained its undefeated streak , which spanned 78 games. In the 2010-11 season, she led the Huskies to an NCAA record for both genders of 90. Moore signed with Air Jordan that season as the first female basketball player. After the 2017 season, she had a win-loss record in the U.S. since high school was 497-78.
