Whitney Cummings

 Whitney Cummings (born September 4 in 1982) is an American stand-up comedian as well as an writer, actress and director, as well as an investor, and podcaster.A born in Washington, DC, Cummings began her career in comedy in Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, where she had studied in the hopes to become journalist. She began standup comedy in 2004 and was a regular guest at the Chelsea Lately roundtable. She later created, directed and appeared on the NBC show Whitney which was a sitcom where she played her self as a semi-fictionalized version. The show ran for two seasons before being ended in 2013. The show was also cancelled in 2013. Cummings developed the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls, which also began in 2011, and ended in 2017.Cummings released her first hour-long standup show, Money Shot, in 2010 on Comedy Central. Cummings followed it up with another standup special, I Love You (2014). Her third special, I'm Your Girlfriend was first released by HBO in the year 2016. It was later made available as an audio streaming album in 2021. In 2018, she began streaming her music.
