Belfort

 Jordan Ross Belfort (/'belf@rt/ Born on July 9, 1962) is an American businessman, speaker and author. He was a ex-stockbroker and criminal in the financial world. In 1999, he was convicted of guilty to fraud and other criminal acts involving stock-market manipulation and running a boiler room in a penny-stock scam. Belfort spent 22 months in prison pursuant to an agreement that required him to testify against his co-workers and other subordinates who were involved in the scheme. The year 2007 was the time he published The Wolf of Wall Street and later, it was adapted to the Martin Scorsese movie of the same title released in 2013. Leonardo DiCaprio played him in the film. Belfort graduated from American University in Biology. Belfort planned to utilize his earnings from Loewenstern to attend dental college. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He left after the director of the school announced at the beginning of his day "The golden age of dentistry is now over. If you're in this place because you're trying to earn a lot of money, you're in the wrong spot. "While running Stratton Oakmont, Belfort and his spouse Denise Lombardo were divorced. He later married Nadine Caridi, a British-born, Bay Ridge
