Bill Maher

 William Maher (/ma/r/; born January 20, 1956) is a comedian, American comedian and writer. He also acts as an executive producer actor, political commentator, and producer. He is well-known for his HBO political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher (2003-present) and the corresponding late-night show called Politically Incorrect (1993-2002), originally broadcast on Comedy Central and later on ABC. Maher created the podcast Club Random in 2022. He is well-known for his humorous political satire and sociopolitical comments. Maher focuses on a variety of topics, such as religious beliefs, political correctness as well as the mass media. His views on religion formed the basis of his 2008 documentary film Religulous. Maher is a strong advocate for animal rights and has been an active member of the PETA board since 1997. Maher is also on the advisory board of Project Reason. In 2005, Maher was ranked 38 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 most popular standup comedians. Maher received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star on September 14th in 2010. In 2014, Maher won a Primetime Emmy Award for his work as an executive producer for Vice.
