Christina Renee Hendricks (born May 3 1975) is an American actress and model. She has had a long career on stage and screen with numerous awards like six Primetime Emmy Award nominations and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Critics also awarded her two Critics' Choice Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She is probably best known for her performance as Joan Harris in the critically well-received AMC drama series Mad Men. She was named the "sexiest woman in America" by Esquire magazine in 2010. She was born to an American mother in Knoxville, Tennessee and an English father in Twin Falls, Idaho. In Twin Falls, she was a part of the theater , and also was active in the community theater. Following her Seventeen cover contest entry she moved to New York City to pursue modeling as a career. After working as a model across the world for over 10 years, she shifted into acting.
