Julia Fiona Roberts (born October 28 27th, 1967) is an American actress. She is famous for her performances in movies that span a range of genres. Roberts has won multiple awards which include the Academy Award, British Academy Film Award and three Golden Globe Awards. Her films have grossed over $3.9 billion globally which makes Roberts one of the most valuable stars. She made her name as a lead actress with the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990), which grossed $464 million worldwide. In the 1990s, Roberts starred in a number of successful commercial films which included Notting Hill (1999), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), and Runaway Bride (1999). She was nominated to the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Erin Brockovich (2000).
