Lauren Holly (born October 28 1963) is an American actor from America. She has played the role of Deputy Sheriff Maxine Stewart in the television show Picket Fences. She also played NCIS Director Jenny Shepard in the television series NCIS and Dr. Betty Rogers on Motive, Mary Swanson in Dumb and Dumber, Bruce Lee's wife Linda Lee in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Darian Smalls in Beautiful Girls, and Gigi in What Women Want.Holly's acting career started in the early 20s when she was cast in the role of Carla Walicki in two episodes of Hill Street Blues. At the age of 23, she was a part of the All My Children cast as Julie Rand Chandler (1986-1989). She portrayed the comic book character Betty Cooper in the TV film Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again in 1990.In 1992 Holly's breakthrough was when she was cast as the small-town Sheriff Maxine Stewart alongside veteran film actor Tom Skerritt on CBS's Picket Fences for four seasons. She appeared in every episode, with the exception of one. She was Linda Lee Cadwell (the wife of Bruce Lee, a martial artist and actor).
