Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg (born on June 5th in 1971) previously stage name Marky Mark, is an American actor, businessman, and former rapper. Wahlberg has been honored with multiple awards including an award from the BAFTA Award and nominations for three Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and nine Primetime Emmy Awards. He was born in Boston in 1971. In the 90s, Wahlberg was a member of the group Marky Mark as well as the Funky Bunch, with whom they released the albums Music for the People (1991) and You Gotta Believe (1992). Wahlberg made his film debut in Renaissance Man (1994) and had his first starring role in Fear (1996). He was praised by critics for his portrayal of the porn actor Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights (1997).In the beginning of 2000 He stepped into the world of high-budget action films like The Perfect Storm (2000), Planet of the Apes (2001) as well as The Italian Job (2003). He was nominated for the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor in the role as police officer in The Departed (2006).
