Reba Nell McEntire (born March 28, 1955) Also known as Reba, is an American country music performer and actress. Her sales of more than 75,000,000 records around the world make her known as "the Queen of Country". In the 70s, McEntire placed over 100 singles in the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart 25, of which have were ranked at the top. McEntire has appeared on film and television. The character she played on TV was Reba. McEntire is also the owner of several companies which include a clothing line. McEntire is one of four children. McEntire founded the Singing McEntires with her mother and siblings. They recorded music for a small label and appeared at local occasions. McEntire enrolled at Southeastern Oklahoma State University to study to be a teacher in the public schools. McEntire performed on occasion and was heard singing at a rodeo by Red Steagall, a country singer.
