Whitney Cummings

 Whitney Cummings (born September 4 1982) is an American stand-up comedian, actress and producer, writer, director, investor and podcaster.A native of Washington, DC, Cummings was pursuing a career in stand-up comedy in Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was studying in the hopes to become journalist. She began standup comedy in 2004 and was a frequent guest on the Chelsea Lately roundtable. After producing, directing and starring in Whitney, a sitcom that aired on NBC She played a semifictionalized, fictionalized character of her own. The show aired for two seasons before it was cancelled in 2013. Simultaneously, Cummings created the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls, which was also launched in 2011 and concluded in 2017.Cummings launched her first standup show of an hour, Money Shot, in 2010 on Comedy Central. Cummings followed it up with another standup comedy special, I Love You (2014). Her third special, I'm Your Girlfriend was first released by HBO in 2016. The show was made available in the form of an audio streaming album in 2021. In the year 2018, she began recording.
