Shemar Moore

American actor Shemar Franklin Moore was born on April 20, 1970. He is best known for his role as Malcolm Winters (1994-2005), Derek Morgan (2005-2016) and Hondo on S.W.A.T. All of this was on CBS. From 1999 to 2003, Moore was the third permanent host on Soul Train. He also won the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He was nominated for an People's Choice Award in 2016 for his work on Criminal Minds.Moore was born in Oakland, California, the child of Marilyn Wilson, a business consultant, and Sherrod Moore. Moore was the father of an African-American and a French-Canadian mom. He went to Santa Clara University as a pitcher and outfielder for four years. Moore is a Bachelor's student in Communications , with a concentration in Theater Arts.
