Shemar Moore

 American actor Shemar Franklin Moore was born on April 20, 1970. His memorable performances include Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless (1994-2005), Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds (2005-2016) as well as the part of Hondo on S.W.A.T. (2017-present) All of which air on CBS. From 1999 until 2003, Moore was the third permanent host on Soul Train. He also was awarded the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. In the year 2016, Moore was nominated to the People's Choice Award for his work in Criminal Minds. He is the child of Marilyn Wilson (a business consultant) and Sherrod Moore. Moore's father was African-American , and his mother, born in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, was of Irish and French-Canadian descent.scholarship to attend Santa Clara University where he played in the varsity team as an outfielder and a pitcher throughout his four years. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a minor in Theater Arts.
