Shemar Franklin Moore (born 20th April 1970) is an American actor from the United States. His most notable performances include Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless (1994-2005), Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds (2005-2016), and the lead part of Hondo on S.W.A.T. (2017-present) all on CBS. From 1999 until 2003, Moore was the third regular host on Soul Train. He has been awarded eight NAACP Image Awards and the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
