Susan Sarandon

 American actor and activist Susan Abigail Sarandon (/s@’raend@n/, nee Tomalin) was born on the 4th of October, 1946. She has been awarded numerous awards such as an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award. In addition to being nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and six Primetime Emmy Awards, she also received nine Golden Globe Awards. In 2002, she was honored with an honorary star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contribution to the film industry.Sarandon began her acting career in the drama film Joe (1970), before acting in the soap opera A World Apart (1970-1971). She starred in the 1974 television films F. Scott Fitzgerald and "The Last of the Belles" as Zelda Fitzgerald's surrogate. Then, the following year, she starred in Janet Weiss, a musical comedy horror film that was titled The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Sarandon was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for Atlantic City (1980), Thelma and Louise (1991) as well as Lorenzo's oil (1992) as well as The Client (1994), prior to winning the award for Dead Man Walking (1995).
