Milla Jovovich

 Milica Bogdanovna Jovovich (/'joUv@vItS/ YOH-v@'-vitch; born on 17 December 1975) is professionally known as Milla Jovovich, is an American model and actress. Her roles as a leading lady in a variety of science fiction and action movies have led VH1 to name her as the "reigning queens of kick-butt". In 2006, Forbes ranked her the top model and actress in the United States. Jovovich was born in Kiev (now Kyiv), and started modeling in 1987, when Herb Ritts took a photo of her for her cover. Richard Avedon featured Jovovich in Revlon's "Most Amazing Woman in the Worldadvertising. Jovovich's screen debut was in 1988 with The Night Train to Kathmandu. She was also in Two Moon Junction, her first feature film. Jovovich was only 15 when she appeared in the romance film Return to the Blue Lagoon. The role she played in The Fifth Element, a 1997 French science-fiction action film written and written by Luc Besson was considered a major breakthrough. She and Besson were married in the same year, but soon divorced.
