Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. was born October 20, 1971. He is an American rapper. His fame began in 1992 when he was featured on Dr. Dre's first solo track, "Deep Cover", as well as on his debut solo album The Chronic. Broadus has sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide. Broadus has won an American Music Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. He also received 17 Grammy nominations. Broadus is his debut solo album, Doggystyle, produced by Dr. Dre The album was released by Death Row Records in November 1993, and debuted at the top of the chart of popular albums and the Billboard 200, and on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Doggystyle sold over 800,000 copies in the debut week. It was quadruple platinum in 1994. The singles were also included.
